Position Summary:

Momentous is looking for an eCommerce Analytics Manager to support data analytics and reporting across the business. In this role you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights and recommendations to improve business performance. This position reports to the Senior Director of eCommerce but you will collaborate across teams to ensure leadership is able to track the health of the business.
We are looking for someone who loves working with data, is detail-oriented, and is extremely analytical with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies. The ideal candidate has been an eCommerce Analytics Manager in a fast-paced environment, ideally at an early stage start-up.

This role supports Momentous’ mission of democratizing high performance by ensuring our data and reporting is accurate so we can make informed decisions to help serve our customer the knowledge, guidance, and tools needed for them to be their best.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a strategy to organize data into a central data warehouse that can be accessed across the team
  • Gather and organize data from multiple sources into data warehouse, including website sales and analytics, subscriptions, email, paid media platforms, and more
  • Oversee the security and privacy of customer data in compliance with relevant regulations and best practices
  • Develop reports and automated dashboards to track performance on KPIs
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and patterns on KPIs and provide actionable insights
  • Forecast sales based on historical trends and help the leadership team track against goals on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Collaborate with marketing/eCommerce, growth, operations, and finance to ensure they have the data they need to run their business units
  • Support on key projects that drive sales or margin improvement (e.g., demand planning, inventory optimization, pricing analysis, paid marketing performance, CRO, etc.)
  • Create a system for the team to request, assess and prioritize new data projects and needs across the business

Qualifications:
  • Several years of experience in data analysis and reporting, preferably at a fast-paced, early-stage eCommerce brand
  • Highly analytical with the ability to interpret data and translate insights from complex data sets into actionable strategies
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel (including macros and scripts) and SQL
  • Proficient with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau and Google Data Studio)
  • Understanding of Shopify, Recharge and Klaviyo is preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively cross-functionally and with agency partners
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to read and comprehend an eCommerce P&L
  • Action-oriented with a high tendency testing & learning
  • Passion for a high performance lifestyle including personal knowledge and curiosity for supplements and sports nutrition
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

Location:

This is a hybrid position out of our Los Angeles office, and requires travel once a quarter.
